Ag Day

Wednesday the 16th October, TePahu school students competed with their goat,calf or lamb in three different challenges on ag day Mr Finn Laboyrie said "it is more challenging when your in the ring. Most of the students said "it was fun because there was no school work." Te Pahu school students said" the reson we have AG DAY is so students get a head start in agriculture and farming." Everyone had a role in helping and competing.Daniel said "everyone semed to be having fun and they were all out there doing it. "I was a runner, so when someone comes 1st 2nd or 3rd I would run the results up to the ladies in room6 and give them the results to record onto the computer.

Our day at the Pirongia lodge



Friday week1 of tearm4. Te Pahu school students went to the Pirongia forest park lodge to clear and plant were there was blackberry so the outdoor classroom looks better.

We combined with Pirongia school  and carried around 300  plants down to the outdoor classroom. Daniel said "for those of you that don't no what an outdoor classroom is, it is a class room that helps kids learn about the outdoors while there surrounded by the plants we planted.

To start of with we hat to create letters to send out to people asking if they want to sponsor or donate plants for the out door classroom.

Aiden said "the hardest part was clearing the blackberry. Finn thought it was the most worth wile thing he had done all year."
